Kids can Curate 

Kids have chosen all of the artworks we can see on display in the Gallery. These 46 artworks are from the City’s art collection, cared for by the Invercargill Public Art Gallery, for us all to enjoy. 

During the September school holidays, anyone 18 and under could come into the Gallery to choose their favourite artwork. Images of 70 artworks were displayed for them to select from. from the City’s art collection, cared for by the Invercargill Public Art Gallery, for us all to enjoy.

You’ll see some of the reasons for the choices on the artwork labels. Many of these were because of favourite colours, movie characters or animals, but also interesting patterns and landscapes.
